Meet Brian – An Independent for Congress

Brian Patrick O'Gorman is a candidate for the November 2026 General Election.  He is a husband, father of three, and a disabled veteran who served 16 years as a Field Medic in multiple military units.  Raised by two military parents, he’s committed his life to service — both in uniform and through grassroots community volunteering after his medical discharge.  Helping people is what Brian really likes to do.  And he's good at it.

The Mission

Brian Patrick O'Gorman didn't spend 16 years as a Field Medic to enter politics for the title. He’s here because the system is bleeding, and the "physicians" in D.C. are too busy arguing over the bill to treat the patient.

Raised in a military household and shaped by over a decade and a half of service, Brian understands that "duty" isn't a campaign slogan—it’s a lived reality. After receiving a medical discharge, he didn't stop serving; he transitioned that energy into grassroots community volunteering. Now, he’s running for Washington’s 6th Congressional District to offer an alternative to the partisan gridlock that puts party loyalty above the People.

Why Independent?

George Washington warned us about the "baneful effects of the spirit of party." Today, we see those effects in every backroom deal and extremist talking point. Brian refuses to caucus with the status quo.

• The Democratic Party: Too often sidelined by internal gatekeeping.

• The Republican Party: Increasingly focused on ideological purity over practical solutions.

Brian’s decision-making is governed by:

His focus isn't on the labels the system gives him, but on the solutions he can provide for you—from securing funding for our county hospitals to ending the "Us vs. Them" fear-mongering that divides our neighbors.
